  •  Corrosion Inhibitors
Corrosion Inhibitors are additives which alleviate or slow down the electrochemical oxidation of metals. They can be formulated into paint and coatings, metalworking fluids, rust preventatives, water treatment, lubricants, cement & concrete, and heat transfer fluids. They inhibit corrosion by interacting directly or indirectly with the anodic and cathodic reactions at the substrate.
  • Rust Preventatives
Rust preventatives or rust preventives are additives added directly to rinse water (or processing fluids) to stop corrosion that occurs on bare metal during processing, indoor or outdoor storage or shipping. Without a rust preventative, corrosion occurs readily in the presence of moisture and oxygen. High humidity speeds up corrosion on bare steel. Rust preventives offer temporary corrosion protection for several months depending on environmental conditions, before the materials are coated or used in their final applications.

  • Flash Rust Inhibitors
Flash rust inhibitors are additives that are added to water based coatings to stop the form of corrosion that occurs during the drying process. Without a flash rust inhibitor, water-soluble corrosion products migrate to the surface of the coating and appear as a stain or rust spot.
  • Tannin Stain Inhibitors
Tannin stain inhibitors are dry pigments and liquid additives formulated into paint and coatings to stop the discoloration of a painted wood surface due to the migration of water-soluble tannic acids.
